Hey my name is Eric Siebenmorgen and thanks for stopping by! Kind of a long story how we got here. For as long as I can remember, I have always played sports or been in the gym. I graduated in 2017 from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's in Exercise Physiology. I was ready to take on the world being a personal trainer and shortly after starting I realized that I am under prepared for my job. I knew all the ins and outs of writing an exercise prescription, how to keep someone safe through various movements, etc, but why were my clients working out so hard, but not seeing any results??? The answer is proper nutrition. Food is fuel and you can not out work a bad diet.
I quit my job in Northwest Arkansas as a trainer and decided to pursue education in Nutrition. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences. I then went to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and graduated my dietetic internship in 2022 which allowed me to start practicing as a Registered Dietitian.
My wife and I purchased a gym near our hometown and it has always been a goal to open up a kitchen that delivers high quality meals to not only the gym members, but also the surrounding communities.
During my education in both fields- exercise and nutrition- here is what I have learned:
-Food is fuel. If fueled properly, your body can do incredible things.
-You can not out work a bad diet. Achieving your dream body composition is 80% nutrition, 20% exercise.
-Healthy food can still taste delicious.
-You do not have to starve yourself in order to see results.
-Your workouts can be 1000X better if you eat properly.
Most Americans are under nourished with the ingredients that matter, and over nourished on processed junk and empty calories. The answer to the obesity epidemic in America is not a shot, a pill, or some secret diet plan. It is making a shift in our food system that demands high quality, balanced meals, that are designed for fuel and to make individuals healthier. The answer is making a lifestyle change, not a quick fix.
Thanks for supporting a dream, and Natural State Prep Co.
